CBSE CGPA to Percentage Formula
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) uses the following official formula for converting CGPA to percentage:
This formula was introduced by CBSE in 2010 when they shifted from the traditional percentage system to the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) grading system. The formula applies to both CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results.

How to Calculate CBSE Percentage from CGPA
Step 1: Add the grade points of all subjects from your CBSE mark sheet. Step 2: Divide the total by the number of subjects to get your CGPA. Step 3: Multiply the CGPA by 9.5 to get your percentage. For example, if your grade points are 9, 8, 9, 7, 8 across 5 subjects: total = 41, CGPA = 41/5 = 8.2, Percentage = 8.2 x 9.5 = 77.9%.
